Even though more than 21 years have passed since the adoption of that resolution by the Security Council, it has not been enforced. Israel continues to occupy cherished parts of southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa valley.
وبالرغم من مرور أكثر من واحد وعشرين عاما على اعتماد هذا القرار، فقد بقي دون تنفيذ، واستمرت إسرائيل باحتلال أجزاء غالية من الجنوب اللبناني والبقاع الغربي.

The residents of southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa Valley were or might be subjected on a daily basis to varying types of violence, from killings, arbitrary arrests and torture to confiscation of property and demolition of homes.
ثم إن سكان الجنوب اللبناني والبقاع الغربي يخضعون أو قد يخضعون يوميا ﻷنواع مختلفة من العنف، من أعمال القتل والاعتقالات التعسفية والتعذيب إلى مصادرة الممتلكات وهدم المنازل.

On instructions from my Government and with reference to our earlier letters concerning the repeated Israeli attacks and practices against southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa, I have the honour to inform you of a series of attacks that occurred in the second half of July 1995:

It is my delegation’s prayer that the occupation of southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa will soon be consigned to the pages of history and that Lebanon’s sovereignty over that part of its territory will be restored.
ويتوجــه وفــدي بالدعاء لكي يصبح احتلال جنوب لبنان وبقاعه الغربي في القريب العاجل مجرد صفحة من صفحات التاريخ، وأن يستعيد لبنان سيادته على ذلك الجزء من أراضيه.

1. Deplores the continued Israeli violation of human rights in the occupied zone in southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa, demonstrated in particular by the kidnapping and the arbitrary detention of civilians, the destruction of their dwellings, the confiscation of their property, their expulsion from their land, the bombing of villages and civilian areas, and other practices violating human rights;
١- تشجب الانتهاكات الاسرائيلية المستمرة لحقوق اﻹنسان في المنطقة المحتلة من جنوب لبنان وبقاعه الغربي المتمثلة بالخطف والاعتقال التعسفي للسكان المدنيين، وتدمير مساكنهم، ومصادرة ممتلكاتهم، وطردهم من أراضيهم، وقصف القرى والمناطق المدنية اﻵمنة، وغير ذلك من الممارسات التي تنتهك حقوق اﻹنسان،

1. Expresses anew its congratulations and appreciation to the President, government and people of the Republic of Lebanon, and commends the valiant Lebanese resistance as well as the admirable Lebanese steadfastness which repelled the Israeli forces from the South of Lebanon and the Western Bekaa.
1 - يجدد التهنئة والتقدير إلى الجمهورية اللبنانية رئيسا وحكومة وشعباً ويشيد بدور المقاومة اللبنانية الباسلة، وبالصمود اللبناني الرائع الذي أدى إلى اندحار القوات الإسرائيلية من جنوب لبنان وبقاعه الغربي.
