Officially inaugurated during the plenary meeting of the judges in May 1999, the Legal Library and Reference Section is the embodiment of the efforts of the Registry aimed at providing the Trial Chamber, the Office of the Prosecutor, the defence counsel and the entire staff with a sophisticated repository of relevant information for the purpose of research.

64 - وقد بدأ قسم المكتبة والمراجع القانونية في تجميع مشروع شامل يمكن البحث خلاله يضم كامل نصوص الوثائق الأساسية والسوابق القانونية للمحكمة، وتوفيره في أشكال أقراص مدمجة CD-ROM وDVD، فضلا عن شبكة الإنترنت (www.ictrcaselaw.org).

The main achievement of the Legal Library and Reference Section during the reporting period is the release of a comprehensive full-text searchable International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda Basic Documents and Case Law DVD (1995-2006), which is included in a web database that will then be updated.
69 - ويتمثل الإنجاز الرئيسي الذي حققه قسم المكتبة والمراجع القانونية خلال الفترة المشمولة بالتقرير إصدار قرص فيديو رقمي يتضمن النصوص الكاملة للوثائق الأساسية والاجتهاد القضائي للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية لرواندا (1995-2006) مع خاصية إمكانية البحث فيها، وهو موجود في قاعدة بيانات على شبكة الإنترنت سيتم استكمالها بعد ذلك.
