يجب على الغرب ان يسعى لتهدئة روسيا بالنسبة لاسئلة استراتيجيه حيويه مثل توسعة الناتو ولكن هذا لن يساعد بوتين على التغلب على مصدر ضعف روسيا والذي يكمن في عدم قدرته او عدم رغبته برؤية الاتحاد السوفياتي كما كان أي كرمز للفشل.
