Today, the Middle East peace process is in mortal danger as a result of the myopic and cynical policy of establishing new Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem and other parts of occupied Arab land.

The Council expects the United States of America to play an effective role in order to save all aspects of the peace process and halt Israeli settlement on occupied Arab land;
ويتطلع المجلس الى أن تقوم الولايات المتحدة اﻷمريكية بدور فعال ﻹنقاذ عملية السلام، على كافة مساراتها، وإيقاف الاستيطان اﻹسرائيلي في اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة.

The Council urges countries which provide Israel with financial or economic assistance to halt such assistance, since Israel uses it to implement its plans for settlements on occupied Arab land;
ويحث المجلس الدول التي تقدم مساعدات مالية واقتصادية ﻹسرائيل، على وقف تلك المساعدات، ﻷنها تستخدمها في تنفيذ مخططاتها الاستيطانية في اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة.

50. On 24 November, Egypt stated that Israel's resumption of settlement activities in occupied Arab land constituted a violation of international law and the principles of the Middle East peace process.
٠٥ - وفي ٤٢ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر، قالت مصر إن استئناف إسرائيل لﻷنشطة الاستيطانية في اﻷرض العربية المحتلة يشكل انتهاكا للقانون الدولي ولمبادئ عملية السلام في الشرق اﻷوسط.

108. On 23 July, it was reported that the position of Israeli Prime Minister Barak on the future of the settlements on occupied Arab land was received with reserve and apprehension by the Palestinian and Egyptian parties.
١٠٨ - وفي ٢٣ تموز/يوليه، أفادت تقارير بأن موقف رئيس الوزراء اﻹسرائيلي باراك من مستقبل اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة قد قوبل بتحفظ وتخوف من الطرفين الفلسطيني والمصري.

The Council categorically rejected and condemned Israel's provocative policy of establishing settlements on occupied Arab land, the Israeli Government's decision to extend its geographical borders to include the city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and its modification of the demographic structure of the city in violation of international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions.
وعبر المجلس عن رفضه المطلق وإدانته للسياسة الاستيطانية الاستفزازية التي تمارسها إسرائيل في اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة ولقرار الحكومة اﻹسرائيلية بتوسيع الحدود الجغرافية لمدينة القدس الشريف وتغيير تركيبتها الديمغرافية باعتبارها انتهاكا ﻷحكام القانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية.

The Ministers asserted that the establishment of truly cooperative relations between regional parties in the Middle East was subject to complete Israeli withdrawal from occupied Arab land, and the achievement by the Palestinian people of their legitimate national rights, in order that a climate of peace, security and stability could prevail in the region.

3. Through the available diplomatic and legal channels, as well as in international forums, Jordan endeavours to oppose and halt abusive Israeli measures to withdraw the identity documents of Jordanian and Palestinian residents of Jerusalem, demolish their homes and drive them from the City by direct and indirect means, and to build settlements on occupied Arab land in violation of international law.
٣ - يحاول اﻷردن، من خلال الطرق الدبلوماسية والقانونية المتوفرة، وفي المحافل الدولية أيضا، مواجهة ووقف اﻹجراءات اﻹسرائيلية التعسفية الرامية إلى سحب هويات المواطنين اﻷردنيين والفلسطينيين في القدس، وهدم منازلهم وطردهم من المدينة بطرق مباشرة وغير مباشرة، وبناء المستوطنات على اﻷراضي العربية المحتلة وذلك خلافا للقانون الدولي.
