The representative of the Secretariat drew attention to the relevant documentation, recalling that the Conference of the Parties had deliberated on the inclusion of chrysotile asbestos in Annex III to the Convention at its third, fourth and fifth meetings and had agreed that the procedures set out in Articles 5 and 7 of the Convention had been met.
