One speaker asked that the question of follow-up to the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) be considered as a separate agenda item at a point fairly early in the session.
وطلب أحد المتكلمين بحث مسألة متابعة المؤتمر الدولي المعني بالسكان والتنمية بوصفه، بندا منفصلا من بنود جدول اﻷعمال في وقت مبكر من الدورة.

2. The Council considered the question of follow-up to the International Conference on Financing for Development (agenda item 6 (a)) at its 35th and 47th meetings, on 19 and 27 July 2007 (see E/2007/SR.35 and 47).

Mr. Saw Tun (Myanmar): In December 1997, the General Assembly considered the question of follow-up to the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), held at Cairo, Egypt, in 1994, and decided to convene a special session of the Assembly to review and appraise the implementation of the Programme of Action adopted at that Conference.
