9. In response to the General Assembly's request in 2002, the Commission had reviewed its decision to raise the level of hazard pay for locally staff recruited to 30 per cent of the midpoint of the local staff salary scale.

Following careful consideration of the General Assembly's resolution, a vast majority of the members of the Commission expressed their agreement with the Assembly's proposal for a smaller increase in the level of hazard pay for locally recruited staff, to 25 per cent of the midpoint of the local salary scale.

3.
