His delegation hoped that the future work of the Working Group of the Sixth Committee at the fifty-fifth session would make it possible to formulate appropriate comments and to refer the draft, together with the comments, to ILC so that it could reformulate the draft articles into a model law.
وأعرب عن أمل وفده في أن يتيح العمل القادم الذي سيقوم به الفريق العامل التابع للجنة السادسة في الدورة الخامسة والخمسين، صياغة تعليقات مناسبة وإحالة مشاريع المواد، مقرونة بالتعليقات، إلى لجنة القانون الدولي حتى يمكنها إعادة صياغة مشاريع المواد في شكل قانون نموذجي.

It was stressed that, although significant progress was achieved during the discussion of the draft in the Working Group of the Sixth Committee at the fifty-fifth session of the General Assembly, several important issues to be addressed in the convention were still outstanding.

Before introducing each of these reports in the order in which they appear in the Journal of the United Nations, I would like to highlight the following remarkable achievement of the Sixth Committee at this session of the General Assembly.
وقبل أن أعرض كل تقرير من هذه التقارير بالترتيب الوارد في يومية اﻷمم المتحدة، أود أن أبرز الانجاز الرائع التالي الذي حققته اللجنة السادسة في هذه الدورة للجمعية العامة.

Further, the General Assembly would recommend that a working group be re-established in the framework of the Sixth Committee at its forty-ninth session in the event that further work was required for elaboration of the draft convention.
وباﻹضافة الى ذلك ستوصي الجمعية بإعادة إنشاء فريق عامل في إطار اللجنة السادسة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين إذا استلزمت صياغـــــة مشروع الاتفاقية مزيدا من العمل.

2. The Bulgarian Government welcomes General Assembly decision 47/414 of 25 November 1992, by which the Assembly decided to re-establish the Working Group in the framework of the Sixth Committee at its forty-eighth session.

The confidence shown by the Group, and the cooperation of the Committee members, have been a great encouragement for me in fulfilling my task as Rapporteur of the Committee.
لقد تشرفتُ بتمثيل وفد المملكة العربية السعودية، نيابة عن المجموعة الآسيوية، في عضوية مكتب اللجنة السادسة في الدورة السادسة والخمسين الحالية للجمعية العامة، ولا شك أن ثقة المجموعة في وفد بلادي وفيَّ وتعاون أعضاء اللجنة كان لهما أبلغ الأثر في إنجاز مهمتي.

As we all know, the ad hoc committee and, subsequently, the working group of the Sixth Committee at the current session, were able to make very good progress on the elaboration of the new convention on the basis of a draft proposed jointly by New Zealand and Ukraine.
