٥٤- ولاحظت اللجنة، على أساس دراستها للتقارير الدورية اﻷولية واللاحقة، أنه في بعض الدول اﻷطراف في الاتفاقية التي صدقت عليها أو انضمت إليها دون تحفظ، لا تتمشى في الواقع قوانين معينة، ولا سيما التي تتناول اﻷسرة، مع أحكام الاتفاقية في الواقع.

1. In accordance with article 21, paragraph 1, of the Convention, on the basis of its examination of reports and information received from States parties, the Committee may make general recommendations addressed to States parties.
1 - يجوز للجنة، وفقا للفقرة 1 من المادة 21 من الاتفاقية، واستنادا إلى دراستها للتقارير والمعلومات الواردة من الدول الأطراف، أن تقدم توصيات عامة موجهة إلى جميع الدول الأطراف.

If, on the basis of its examination of the reports and information supplied by the State party, the Committee determines that some of the obligations of that State under the Convention have not been discharged, it may make suggestions and general recommendations in accordance with article 9, paragraph 2, of the Convention.
3- إذا ما انتهت اللجنة، على أساس دراستها للتقارير والمعلومات المقدمة من الدولة الطرف، إلى أن بعضاً من التزامات هذه الدولة بموجب الاتفاقية لم يوف بها، يجوز لها أن تقدم اقتراحات وتوصيات عامة وفقا للفقرة 2 من المادة 9 من الاتفاقية.

المادة ١٧ ١- توافي اللجنة، عن طريق اﻷمين العام، الدول اﻷطراف بالتعليقات العامة التي أبدتها بموجب الفقرة ٤ من المادة ٠٤ من العهد استنادا إلى دراستها للتقارير والمعلومات المقدمة من الدول اﻷطراف وذلك لكي تقدم الدول اﻷطراف ملاحظاتها عليها.
