Japan Japan recognizes the importance of adequately addressing the particular needs and problems of landlocked developing countries, and has continued to provide financial and technical assistance to landlocked and transit developing countries to improve their transport systems.

His delegation hoped that the General Assembly would adopt a resolution during the current session on specific measures related to the particular needs and problems of those countries, and that a transit transport infrastructure would realistically be established through regional cooperation.

She stated that specific action related to the particular needs and problems of landlocked developing countries required action on two fronts: improvement of physical infrastructure and removal of non-physical obstacles, including better utilization of assets and improved managerial, procedural, regulatory and institutional systems.

Although UNEP’s environmental law programme has not taken any specific action related to the particular needs and problems of landlocked developing countries, it has provided advisory services and training on environmental law to land-locked developing countries.
66- ورغم أن برنامج قانون البيئة التابع لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة لم يتخذ أي إجراء محدد له صلة بالاحتياجات والمشاكل الخاصة للبلدان النامية غير الساحلية، فقد أتاح الخدمات الاستشارية والتدريب على قانون البيئة لبلدان نامية غير ساحلية.

Although most international financial and economic organizations do not have specifically tailored programmes to address the particular needs and problems of landlocked developing countries as a category, most of these countries are eligible for soft window facilities as they are amongst the poorest.
80- ومع أن معظم المنظمات المالية والاقتصادية الدولية ليست لديها برامج مصممة بالتحديد للتصدي للاحتياجات والمشاكل الخاصة للبلدان النامية غير الساحلية كفئة، فإن معظم هذه البلدان مؤهل للحصول على تسهيلات القروض الميسرة لأنها من أفقر البلدان.
