As we inform you of these developments, we assure you that the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya will continue its efforts for reconciliation in Somalia and the resolution of all conflicts in the African continent.

٤ - وستستمر اﻷمم المتحدة في العمل مع المنظمات اﻹقليمية، ولا سيما منظمة الوحدة الافريقية، ومع حكومات البلدان المجاورة، من أجل تشجيع المصالحة في الصومال وعودة المجتمع المدني إلى الوجود هناك.

It is quite strange that the United Nations in general and the Secretary-General in particular claim that they want to help reconciliation in Somalia when they themselves created most of the rival factions in Somalia and supplied them with arms and money to finance their war activities.
ومن الغريب حقا أن تدعي اﻷمم المتحدة بصفة عامة واﻷمين العام بصفة خاصة أنهما يرغبان في المساعدة على المصالحة في الصومال فيما خلقا بنفسيهما معظم الفصائل المتناحرة في الصومال وأمداها بالسلاح والمال لتمويل أنشطتها الحربية.

(b) To support dialogue and reconciliation in Somalia by assisting with the free movement, safe passage and protection of all those involved with the peace and reconciliation process in Somalia;
