6- يستنتج كذلك، فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ الاتفاقية من قِبَل الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول، أن الأطراف المبلِّغة تتخذ تدابير للتصدي لتغير المناخ وما يترتب عليه من آثار ضارة، حسبما هو مشروح في عملية التجميع والتوليف الثالثة للبلاغات الأولية المقدمة من الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول.

Noting that the Federation of Cuban Women is a non-governmental organization (NGO) acting as the national machinery for the advancement of women, CEDAW was concerned that this institutional status may limit the authority and influence of the national machinery within the government structure and diminish the accountability of Cuba with respect to the implementation of the Convention.

The Committee welcomes the State party's collaboration with respect to the implementation of the Convention with specialized agencies and other entities and bodies of the United Nations system, such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

In March 2004, CERD, in the absence of a report, considered the situation in Saint Lucia with respect to the implementation of the Convention, based, inter alia, on information from other United Nations bodies and from its previous consideration of the situation in Saint Lucia in 1998, and adopted provisional observations.
