The rights of a grantor of a security right in a tangible asset with respect to which intellectual property is used are described in the agreement between the secured creditor and the grantor (owner, licensor or licensee of the relevant intellectual property) in line with secured transactions law and law relating to intellectual property.

For example, for the purposes of law relating to intellectual property, a right of a licensor to payment of equitable remuneration might be treated as part of the intellectual property right of the licensor (for the treatment of receivables under secured transactions law and law relating to intellectual property, see A/CN.9/700/Add.2, paras. 21-29).
