266. Anyone sentenced to death shall have the right to seek pardon or commutation of the sentence.

Article 6(4) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights states that anyone sentenced to death shall have the right to seek pardon or commutation of the sentence.
وتنص المادة 6 (4) من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية على أن لكل شخص محكوم عليه بالإعدام الحق في التماس العفو أو إبدال العقوبة.

37. Similarly, its article 6, paragraph 4, states that " anyone sentenced to death shall have the right to seek pardon or commutation of the sentence.
