ولعلنا نذكر أننا في العام الماضي، في الدورة السابعة واﻷربعين، أعربنا بوضوح في القرار ٤٧/٦٤ دال عن ترحيبنا بعملية السلام الجارية، التي بدأت في مدريد في شهر تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩١، كما أعربنا عن اﻷمل الوطيد في أن تؤدي العملية الى إقامة سلام شامل عادل دائم في ذلك الجزء من العالم.

By its resolution 47/64 D of 11 December 1992, the General Assembly reaffirmed the urgent need to achieve a just and comprehensive settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the core of which is the question of Palestine. It welcomed the ongoing peace process, which started at Madrid in October 1991, and expressed the hope that it would lead to the establishment of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the region.
٩٣ - أكدت الجمعية العامة من جديد، في قرارها ٤٧/٦٤ دال المؤرخ ١١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٢٩٩١، الحاجة الملحة للتوصل إلى تسوية عادلة وشاملة للنزاع العربي اﻹسرائيلي، الذي تعتبر قضية فلسطين جوهره؛ ورحبت بعملية السلم الجارية التي بدأت في مدريد في تشرين اﻷول/اكتوبر ١٩٩١ وأعربت عن أملها في أن تفضي هذه العملية إلى احلال سلم شامل وعادل ودائم في المنطقة.
