3- لا يؤخذ في الاعتبار لدى تقرير انطباق هذه الاتفاقية لا جنسية الطرفين ولا الصفة المدنية أو التجارية للطرفين أو للعقد.

This would make any type of activity by the armed forces immune from the application of this Convention, even if such activity amounted to terrorism.
وهذا مــن شأنــه أن يجعــل أي نوع من أنشطة القوات المسلحة محميا من تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية حتى لو صُعﱢد هذا النشاط إلى حد اﻹرهاب.

5. The Contracting States shall guarantee to every person deprived of his freedom through the application of this Convention every right to defend himself.
٥ - تكفل الدول المتعاقدة لكل شخص حرم من حريته بسبب تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية جميع حقوقه في الدفاع عن نفسه.
