We urge partners in various trade and economic agreements to recognize the special circumstances of small island developing States, and in view of the exceptional situation currently prevailing in the global economy, to extend the provision of trade preferences, for a sufficiently long period of time, to assist them in their response to the global economic challenges as they seek to achieve economic growth and development.
