105. The Co-Chairpersons noted that an extensive list of issues for the future work of the General Assembly on oceans and the law of the sea had been proposed by delegations over the past five meetings of the Consultative Process, as reflected in the reports of the fourth and fifth meetings (A/58/95, part C and A/59/122, part C).

95. The Co-Chairpersons pointed out that an extensive list of issues that could benefit from attention in the future work of the General Assembly on oceans and the law of the sea had been proposed by delegations over the past four meetings of the Consultative Process, as reflected in the report of the fourth meeting (A/58/95, part C).
95 - أشار الرئيسان الشريكان إلى أنه ثمة قائمة شاملة بالمسائل التي يمكن الاستفادة من توجيه الاهتمام إليها في الأعمال المقبلة للجمعية العامة بشأن المحيطات وقانون البحار قد اقترحتها الوفود خلال الاجتماعات الأربعة الماضية للعملية التشاورية، وذلك حسب ما ورد في تقرير الاجتماع الرابع (A/58/9، الجزء جيم).

For that purpose, it was suggested that all States proposing topics that could benefit from attention in the future work of the General Assembly make available background papers to facilitate the negotiation of the resolutions. Some delegations also placed emphasis on the need to avoid choosing topics which fell within the mandate of specific international organizations or institutions, with one delegation giving the example of climate change.
