On 2 May, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iraq requested the transfer to the Government of Iraq of the funds set aside with the United Nations for the compensation of Iraqi private citizens whose assets remained on Kuwaiti territory following the demarcation of the international boundary between Iraq and Kuwait, pursuant to Security Council resolution 899 (1994).
18 - وفي 2 أيار/مايو، طلب وزير خارجية العراق أن تُنقل إلى حكومة العراق الأموال الموضوعة جانبا لدى الأمم المتحدة لتعويض المواطنين العراقيين ممن بقيت ممتلكاتهم على الأراضي الكويتية في أعقاب تعليم الحدود الدولية بين العراق والكويت، بموجب قرار مجلس الأمن 899 (1994).

15. The Iraq-Kuwait Boundary Maintenance Project is a stand-alone project concerned with the maintenance of the physical representation of the international boundary between Iraq and Kuwait, as recommended by the United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Boundary Demarcation Commission and confirmed by the Security Council in resolution 833 (1993).
15 - إن مشروع صيانة الحدود العراقية - الكويتية مشروعٌ قائم بذاته يُعنى بصيانة العلامات التي وُضعت على الحدود الدولية بين العراق والكويت، وذلك وفقا لما أوصت به لجنة الأمم المتحدة لترسيم الحدود بين العراق والكويت، ولما أكده مجلس الأمن في القرار 833 (1993).

The Council wishes to stress to Iraq the inviolability of the international boundary between Iraq and Kuwait, demarcated by the Commission and guaranteed by the Council pursuant to resolutions 687 (1991), 773 (1992) and 833 (1993), and the serious consequences that would ensue from any breach thereof. "
ويود المجلس أن يؤكد للعراق حرمة الحدود الدولية بين العراق والكويت التي خططتها اللجنة وضمنها المجلس عملا بالقرارات ٦٨٧ )١٩٩١( و ٧٧٣ )١٩٩٢( و ٨٣٣ )١٩٩٣(، والعواقب الوخيمة التي تترتب على أي انتهاك لتلك القرارات " .

The coordinates established by the Commission thus constitute the final demarcation of the international boundary between Iraq and Kuwait set out in the Agreed Minutes of 4 October 1963.
