Article 28 of the Juveniles Act made provision for the establishment of juvenile courts vested with sole jurisdiction to hear cases involving juveniles accused of a felony or a misdemeanour.
168- نصت المادة 28 من قانون الأحداث على تشكيل محاكم خاصة للأحداث تختص وحدها دون غيرها في النظر في أمر الحدث عند اتهامه في جناية أو جنحة.

Article 32 of the Juveniles Act further stipulates that a juvenile defendant must have a lawyer and, if he has not chosen one, the court has an obligation to appoint one to defend him at the State's expense.
كما نصت المادة 32 من قانون الأحداث على وجوب أن يكون للمتهم محام فإذا لم يكن قد اختار محامياً ندبت المحكمة أحد المحامين للدفاع عنه على نفقة الدولة.

The legal responsibilities and duties of parents and guardians are set out in section 9, subsection 2a, of the Juveniles Act.
وتوضح المادة الفرعية 2-أ من المادة 90 من قانون الأحداث المسؤوليات والواجبات القانونية للآباء والأوصياء.

60. The Legal Committee of the National Task Force for Children is endeavouring to amend the Juveniles Act in such a way as to ensure that rebellious juveniles are detained in special premises away from the prisons and outside their jurisdiction.
60- كما أن اللجنة القانونية في هيئة العمل الوطني للطفولة تسعى في تعديلاتها المتعلقة بقانون الأحداث إلى أن يخصص مكان خاص للأحداث المتمردين بعيداً عن السجون وغير تابع لسلطتها.
