Member States should ensure that women have equal protection under the law and equal access to justice in order to facilitate efforts by Governments to prevent and sanction acts of violence against women through comprehensive and coordinated policies and strategies, and to deal with all forms of violence against women within the criminal justice system.
ولا بد للدول الأعضاء أن تكفل للمرأة حماية متساوية بموجب القانون وإمكانية متساوية للجوء إلى القضاء بغية تسهيل الجهود التي تبذلها الحكومات لمنع العنف ضد المرأة ومعاقبة مرتكبيه من خلال اتباع سياسات واستراتيجيات شاملة ومنسقة، والتصدي لجميع أشكال العنف ضد المرأة في إطار نظام العدالة الجنائية.

The Committee reiterates that the State party should review its legislation and practice to ensure that all persons enjoy both equality before the law and equal protection of the law.
وتُكرِّر الدولة تأكيدها على أنه ينبغي للدولة الطرف أن تستعرض تشريعاتها وممارساتها لضمان تمتُّع جميع الأشخاص بالمساواة أمام القانون وبالمساواة في الاستفادة من الحماية التي يوفرها القانون.

5. Urges Member States to end impunity for acts of violence against women by prosecuting and punishing all perpetrators of such violence, by ensuring that women have equal protection under the law and equal access to justice and by holding up to public scrutiny and eliminating those attitudes that foster, justify or tolerate violence against women;
5- تحث الدول الأعضاء على وضع حد لإفلات مرتكبي أعمال العنف ضد المرأة من العقاب، وذلك بمقاضاة جميع مرتكبي هذا العنف ومعاقبتهم، وكفالة حصول المرأة على حماية متساوية بموجب القانون وفرصة متساوية للجوء إلى القضاء، وتوعية عامة الناس بالأوضاع التي تعزز العنف ضد المرأة أو تبرره أو تتغاضى عنه والقضاء على تلك الأوضاع؛

Article 11 of the Constitution stipulates equality of all citizens before the law and equal protection of the law as enunciated in article 2 of the Covenant.
