“The Security Council has considered the letter of the Secretary-General of 21 January 1997 (S/1997/62) concerning developments with respect to the United Nations Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium, and welcomes his evaluation.

The Council calls upon the Government of Croatia to implement fully the commitments contained in that letter and the oral guarantees made by Croatian officials to the Transitional Administration as specified in the letter of the Secretary-General of 21 January 1997 (S/1997/62).

15. Further to the letter of the Secretary-General of 27 April 2007, there are currently 188 letters of credit (see table 2 below and annex II) with an approximate value of $209 million where the letters of credit have expired but for which there are claims of delivery from the suppliers based upon documents that are pending with BNP Paribas.
