157. The Commission on Human Rights, at its fifty-first session in resolution 1995/34, encouraged the Subcommission to continue to give consideration to the proposed basic principles and guidelines at its forty-seventh session, with a view to making substantive progress on this matter in the specific field of violations of human rights.
٧٥١- وشجعت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في قرارها ٥٩٩١/٤٣ المتخذ في دورتها الحادية والخمسين، اللجنة الفرعية على أن تواصل في دورتها السابعة واﻷربعين النظر في المبادئ اﻷساسية والخطوط التوجيهية المقترحة بغية إحراز تقدم جوهري بشأن الموضوع في ميدان انتهاك حقوق اﻹنسان بالتحديد.

3. Expresses the hope that priority attention will be given to the question of restitution, compensation and rehabilitation for victims of gross violations of human rights and regards the proposed basic principles and guidelines contained in the study of the Special Rapporteur as a useful basis for this purpose;
٣- تعرب عن اﻷمل في ايلاء الاهتمام على سبيل اﻷولوية لمسألة الحق في الاسترداد والتعويض واعادة التأهيل لضحايا الانتهاكات الجسيمة لحقوق الانسان والحريات اﻷساسية ، وترى في المبادئ اﻷساسية والخطوط التوجيهية المقترحة في دراسة المقرر الخاص أساسا نافعا لهذا الغرض ؛

4. Recommends, therefore, that the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, in conformity with Sub-Commission resolution 1993/29 of 25 August 1993, take measures to examine the proposed basic principles and guidelines with a view to making proposals thereon and report to the Commission.
