18. Mr. Tajima (Japan) recalled that the question of the implementation of the provisions of the Charter relating to assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions had been considered by the Special Committee during its March session.

Ms. Tugral (Turkey) noted that the Special Committee had received the mandate to consider, on a priority basis, the question of implementation of the provisions of the Charter relating to assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions, a matter to which Turkey attached the utmost importance, having long been such a third State.

Mr. Hafrad (Algeria) took the view that the Sixth Committee should continue examining the implementation of the provisions of the Charter relating to assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions, and regretted that the report of the ad hoc expert group had not been examined with care, more than five years after its publication.
58 - السيد عفرد (الجزائر): قال إنه يرى أن تواصل اللجنة السادسة النظر في تنفيذ أحكام الميثاق المتصلة بتقديم المساعدة إلى الدول الثالثة المتأثرة بالجزاءات، وأعرب عن أسفه لأن التقرير الذي أعده فريق الخبراء الخاص لم يتم النظر فيه بشكل منتظم بعد مرور خمس سنوات على نشره.

77. Ms. Tansu-Seçkin (Turkey) said that, as a third State that had suffered considerably from the consequences of sanctions, Turkey had been following with great interest the deliberations of the Special Committee regarding implementation of the provisions of the Charter relating to assistance to third States affected by sanctions.
77 - السيدة تانسو - سيتشكين (تركيا): قالت إن تركيا، بوصفها دولة ثالثة عانت معاناة كبيرة من آثار الجزاءات، كانت تتابع باهتمام كبير مداولات اللجنة الخاصة المتعلقة بتنفيذ أحكام الميثاق المتصلة بتقديم المساعدة إلى الدول الثالثة التي تتأثر بالجزاءات.

49. The Special Committee further encouraged the Secretary-General to present, in due time for consideration of the Sixth Committee, his views on the deliberations and main findings of the ad hoc expert group on the implementation of the provisions of the Charter relating to assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions, as provided in General Assembly resolution 54/107.
