On the basis of those considerations, my delegation will vote in favour of the draft resolution on preventing the risk of radiological terrorism.
وعلى أساس تلك الاعتبارات، سيصوت وفدي مؤيدا مشروع القرار بشأن منع مخاطر الإرهاب الإشعاعي.

There is an obvious need to further improve the control of high-activity sources to protect against the risk of radiological terrorism.

We therefore fully share the objective of preventing the risk of radiological terrorism and support international efforts to deny terrorists any opportunity to acquire and use radiological materials and sources.

First, the draft resolution under item 97, " General and complete disarmament " entitled " Preventing the risk of radiological terrorism " , which appears in A/60/463 as draft resolution XIX, was adopted by the Committee by a recorded vote of 162 to none, with no abstentions.
أولا، مشروع القرار في إطار البند 97، " نزع السلاح العام والكامل " المعنون " منع مخاطر الإرهاب الإشعاعي " ، الذي يرد في الوثيقة A/60/463 بوصفه مشروع القرار التاسع عشر، اعتمدته اللجنة بتصويت مسجل بأغلبية 162 صوتا مقابل لا شيء، ودون امتناع أي عضو عن التصويت.

Naturally, we hope that it will, as it was two years, be adopted without a vote, in order to flag the unanimous concerns of the international community with respect to the risk of radiological terrorism.
ونأمل بطبيعة الحال أن يُعتمد، كما أُُعتمد على مدى سنتين، دون تصويت، وذلك من أجل إبراز الشواغل الجماعية للمجتمع الدولي فيما يتعلق بخطر الإرهاب الإشعاعي.
