Article 7 of the Supplementary Convention defines a slave as " a person of servile status " following the same definition adopted by the Slavery Convention of 1926.
فالمادة ٧ من الاتفاقية التكميلية تعرف الرقيق بأنه " شخص ذو منزلة مستضعفة " على هدى التعريف الذي اعتمد في الاتفاقية الخاصة بالرق لعام ١٩٢٦.

Slavery Convention and its Protocol and the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery, to which Bahrain acceded under the terms of Decree No. 7 of 1990;
الاتفاقية الخاصة بالرق وبروتوكولها والاتفاقية التكميلية لإبطال الرق وتجارة الرقيق والأعراف والممارسات الشبيهة بالرق التي انضمت إليها البحرين بموجب المرسوم رقم 7 لسنة 1990؛

Recognizing the Slavery Convention of 1926, the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery of 1956 and International Labour Organization Convention No. 29 on Forced Labour of 1930, as well as other relevant international instruments which prohibit all forms of slavery and call on Governments to eradicate such practices,

I strongly support these initiatives and urge all Member States to ratify the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, develop robust and effective domestic legislation and boost enforcement on the ground.
وإني أؤيد بقوة هذه المبادرات وأحث جميع الدول الأعضاء على التصديق على الاتفاقية التكميلية لإلغاء الرق، ووضع تشريعات محلية متينة وفعالة، وتعزيز إنفاذها على أرض الواقع.

In addition, article 1 of the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery of 1956 states that States parties shall abolish or abandon:

In its reply, the Government of Cuba recalled that it has ratified the Slavery Convention, the Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others, and the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery.

The Government of Slovenia reported that the country is party to the Slavery Convention, the Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others, and the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery.
40- ذكرت حكومة سلوفينيا أن البلد طرف في اتفاقية الرق، واتفاقية قمع الاتجار بالأشخاص واستغلال بغاء الغير، والاتفاقية التكميلية لإبطال الرق وتجارة الرقيق والأعراف والممارسات الشبيهة بالرق.

79. The Slavery Convention of 1926 and the Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery of 1956 specifically prohibit the practice of forced or compulsory labour and bonded labour as forms of slavery.
79- وتنص اتفاقية الرق لعام 1926 والاتفاقية التكميلية لإلغاء الرق وتجارة الرقيق والنظم والعادات المشابهة للرق لعام 1956 تحديداً على حظر ممارسة العمل القسري أو الإلزامي والعمل الاستعبادي كأشكال للرق.
