ووفقا لمشروع القرار تحيط الجمعية علما بالاستنتاجات اﻷولية التي خلصت إليها البعثات الاستشارية لﻷمم المتحدة التي أوفدها اﻷمين العام إلى البلدان المتأثرة في المنطقة دون اﻹقليمية لدراسة أفضل الطرق لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة وضمان جمعها.

The Assembly would thank the Governments concerned in the subregion for the substantial support that they have given to the United Nations advisory missions and welcome the declared readiness of other States to receive the United Nations advisory Mission.
ومعروض على الجمعية العامة أن تشكر الحكومات المعنية في المنطقة دون اﻹقليمية على المساعدة الملموسة التي قدمتها إلى البعثات الاستشارية لﻷمم المتحدة ، وأن ترحب بما أبدته دول أخرى من استعداد لاستقبال البعثة الاستشارية.
