The Workshop emphasized the need to continue promoting the universal acceptance of, and compliance with, the United Nations treaties on outer space.
23- وشدّدت حلقة العمل على الحاجة إلى مواصلة تعزيز القبول العالمي لمعاهدات الأمم المتحدة المتعلّقة بالفضاء الخارجي والامتثال لها.

(a) Member States are predisposed to ratify or accede to the United Nations treaties on outer space and are able to complete the necessary procedures during the biennium;

9. The Working Group noted with satisfaction the statements made by a number of delegations about the positive impact of the letter from the Secretary-General encouraging participation in the outer space treaties, which, in their view, had stimulated a thorough consideration of participation in the United Nations treaties on outer space.
9- ولاحظ الفريق العامل بارتياح البيانات التي ألقاها عدد من الوفود بشأن الأثر الإيجابي لرسالة الأمين العام التي شجع فيها على الانضمام إلى معاهدات الفضاء الخارجي والتي حفزت، حسب رأي تلك الوفود، على القيام بدراسة مستفيضة لمسألة الاشتراك في معاهدات الأمم المتحدة المتعلقة بالفضاء الخارجي.

The view was expressed that the preliminary draft protocol was not intended to affect the rights and obligations of States parties to the United Nations treaties on outer space or the rights and obligations of States parties to the ITU Constitution, Convention and Regulations.
