2. By decision 1/COP.5, the COP established the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) to assist the COP in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention.
2- وبموجب المقرر 1/م أ-5، أنشأ مؤتمر الأطراف لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية لمساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف على القيام باستعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية بصورة منتظمة.

8. The need to establish additional procedures or institutional mechanisms to assist the COP in its task of regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention has been considered since the second session of the COP.
8- وقد دأب مؤتمر الأطراف منذ دورته الثانية على النظر في مسألة الحاجة إلى وضع إجراءات وآليات مؤسسية إضافية لمساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في مهمة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية بانتظام.

Recalling also decisions 1/COP.5 and 7/COP.6 on the consideration of additional procedures or institutional mechanisms to assist the COP in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention,

This is, inter alia, a reflection of the need for the SBI to assist the COP in its reviews on the effective implementation of the Convention.

The COP, by its decision 1/COP.5, established the CRIC to assist the COP in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention and to draw conclusions and make concrete recommendations to the COP on further steps in the implementation of the Convention.

1. The Conference of the Parties (COP), at its sixteenth session, agreed to establish a Standing Committee (SC) to assist the COP in relation to the financial mechanism of the Convention.
1- اتفق مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته السادسة عشرة على إنشاء لجنة دائمة لمساعدة المؤتمر في المسائل المتعلقة بالآلية المالية للاتفاقية.
