The reason for locating this facility at UNIFIL was a result of developments during the setup of the United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) in September of 1988.

In order to provide ONUSAL with the necessary cash flow requirements, $9 million has been borrowed from the Peace-keeping Reserve Fund ($6 million) and from the United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) special account ($3 million).

The Committee notes that in order to provide ONUSAL with the necessary cash, $6 million has been borrowed from the Peace-keeping Reserve Fund and $3 million from the United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) special account (see para. 8 of the Secretary-General's report).

18. The United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group (UNIIMOG) (statement XXXVIII) and the United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG) (statement XXXIX) also have unpaid assessed contributions outstanding.
١٨ - وفريق مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة العسكريين ﻹيران والعراق )البيان الثامن والثلاثون( وفريق اﻷمم المتحدة للمساعـــدة في فترة الانتقال )البيان التاسع والثلاثون( لهما أيضا أنصبة مقررة غير مدفوعـــة ما زالت معلقة.
