Article 7 of the Model Law referred to “where the law requires a signature”, which addressed both requirements of law and requirements of evidence.
فالمادة ٧ من ذلك القانون تستخدم عبارة " عندما يشترط القانون وجود توقيع " ، اﻷمر الذي يتناول كلا من اشتراطات القانون واشتراطات اﻹثبات.

الكتابــــة ١ - عندما يشترط القانون أن تكون المعلومات مكتوبة، تستوفي رسالة البيانات ذلك الشرط إذا تيسر الاطلاع على البيانات الواردة فيها على نحو يتيح استخدامها بالرجوع إليها لاحقا.

It was noted that there might be instances where the law requires a signature, but that signature does not have the function of indicating the signing party's approval of the information contained in the electronic communication.
ولوحظ أنّه قد توجد حالات يشترط فيها القانون وجود التوقيع، لكن ذلك التوقيع ليس من وظائفه أن يبين أن الطرف الموقّع موافق على المعلومات الواردة في الخطاب الإلكتروني.
