The statement stresses the need to ensure that the advancement of women is a policy priority within the organizations of the common system and to take the necessary measures to improve the status of women in the secretariats of ACC members. A report on follow-up measures will be submitted to ACC at its second regular session of 1996.
ويؤكد البيان الحاجة إلى أن تُصبح مسألة النهوض بالمرأة أولوية من أولويات السياسة في هيئات مؤسسات النظام الموحد، وإلى اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لتحسين مركز المرأة في اﻷمانات التابعة للمنظمات اﻷعضاء في لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية، وسيقدم تقرير عن تدابير المتابعة إلى لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية في دورتها العادية الثانية لعام ١٩٩٦.

With regard to administrative questions, ACC focused its attention in 1995 on the consultative process and functioning of the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), and the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system.

United Nations system In introducing this item into the first regular session of ACC of 1995, the Secretary-General noted that the data before ACC indicated clearly that the improvement of the status of women in the secretariats of United Nations organizations was a system-wide concern.

52. ACC has continued to monitor follow-up to the statement on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system that it adopted at its first regular session of 1995 (A/C.5/49/62, annex).

Following a request by the Steering Committee for the Improvement of the Status of Women in the Secretariat, the Secretary-General took the initiative of placing an item on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system on the agenda of the spring session of the Administrative Committee on Coordination (ACC).
٢١ - بناء على طلب قدمته اللجنة التوجيهية لتحسين مركز المرأة في اﻷمانة العامة، اتخذ اﻷمين العام المبادرة المتمثلة في إدراج بند يتعلق بمركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في جدول أعمال الدورة الربيعية للجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية.

43. On the representation of women in the secretariats of the system, ACC noted that significant advances have been made towards the goal of 50/50 gender parity -- a goal that had already been met by one of the organizations of the system -- the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
43 - وفيما يتعلق بتمثيل المرأة في أمانات المنظومة لاحظت لجنة التنسيق الإدارية أن تقدما كبيرا قد أحرز في تحقيق هدف التكافؤ بين الجنسين بنسبة (50/50) وهو هدف حققته بالفعل إحدى مؤسسات المنظومة وهي صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان.

101. As part of its continuing consideration of key management issues facing the system and in connection with the preparations for the Fourth World Conference on Women, ACC is expected to give special consideration, during the first half of the year, to issues relating to the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system.

In its resolution 49/222 B, the General Assembly noted with appreciation the statement on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system adopted by the Administrative Committee on Coordination (ACC) at its first regular session of 1995.
وأشارات الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٩/٢٢٢ باء مع التقدير الى البيان الذي اتخذته لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية في دورتها العادية اﻷولى لعام ١٩٩٥ بشأن مركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وصدرت نشرة اﻷمين العام ST/SGB/282 المؤرخة ٥ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٦ بشأن السياسات الرامية الى تحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين في اﻷمم المتحدة.

The Consultative Committee on Administrative Questions (Personnel and General Administrative Questions) (CCAQ(PER)) drew the attention of ACC to several key issues, in particular the examination of the application of the Noblemaire principle; the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system; the framework for a supportive work/family agenda; and the security and safety of United Nations system staff and associated personnel.
٩٧ - استرعت اللجنة الاستشارية المعنية بالمسائل اﻹدارية )شؤون الموظفين والمسائل اﻹدارية العامة( اهتمام لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية لعدة مسائل رئيسية، وعلى وجه الخصوص النظر في تطبيق مبدأ نوبلمير؛ ومركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة؛ وإطار برنامج داعم للعمل واﻷسرة، وأمن وسلامة موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة واﻷفراد المرتبطين بها.
