٨-٨ ويبدو من الترجمة اﻹنكليزية لحكم المحكمة الابتدائية، الذي قدمته الدولة الطرف، أن المحكمة وجدت أن الضحية مات نتيجة ربطه بإحكام شديد مما سبب شللا في عضلات الصدر، ونتيجة إعطائه مسكنا من الكلوريد اﻷثيلي ونتيجة اختناق بسبب وضع أكيسة بلاستيكية فوق رأسه.
