8.8 From the English translation of the judgement of the court of first instance, submitted by the State party, it appears that the court found that the victim had died as a consequence of having been tied up too tightly, causing paralysis of the chest muscles, of being sedated with ethyl chloride and of suffocation because of plastic bags placed over his head.
