7.9 " Tonne of carbon equivalent " means the amount of carbon dioxide (or other greenhouse gas calculated by global warming potential) in terms of tonnes of carbon (44/12 of one tonne of carbon dioxide is equal to one tonne of carbon).
٧-٩ يعني " طن مكافئ كربون " مقدار ثاني أكسيد الكربون )أو غاز دفيئة آخر محسوب على أساس إمكانات الاحترار العالمي( معبراً عنه بأطنان الكربون )٤٤/٢١ من طن واحد من ثاني أكسيد الكربون يعادل طناً واحداً من الكربون(.

One Party questioned the validity of the GWP concept in estimating its GHG emissions.

It should be noted that 87 Parties (71 per cent) used the GWPs to estimate the relative contribution of each individual GHG or sector to their aggregate GHG emissions, although this is not required by the UNFCCC guidelines.
