Recalling further the political declaration of the highlevel meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, adopted on 22 September 2011,
وإذ تشير كذلك إلى الإعلان السياسي الصادر عن اجتماع الجمعية العامة الرفيع المستوى الذي عقد للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة لاعتماد إعلان وبرنامج عمل ديربان الذي اعتمد في 22 أيلول/سبتمبر 2011(

We would like to take particular note of paragraph 39 of the political declaration adopted at the meeting which stated, inter alia, that,

Welcomes the adoption of the political declaration of the highlevel meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, whose aim is to mobilize political will at the national, regional and international levels and to implement the Programme of Action;

Requests the Department of Public Information to compile and disseminate in a single combined publication the political declaration of the high-level meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action and the outcome document of the Durban Review Conference;

39. Non-communicable diseases. The political declaration of the High-level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases recognized the need for concerted action and coordinated response at all levels in order to adequately address the development challenges posed by such diseases.

Mr. Abdel Khalek (Egypt) commended the efforts which had contributed to the adoption by consensus of the political declaration of the High-level Meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, despite the opposition of some on the basis of unjustified political reasons.

We, Ministers and representatives of States and Governments and heads of delegations, assembled at the United Nations on 10 and 11 July 2014 to take stock of the progress made in implementing the commitments set out in the political declaration of the high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, adopted by the General Assembly in its resolution 66/2 of 19 September 2011,
نحن، الوزراء وممثلي الدول والحكومات ورؤساء الوفود، المجتمعين في الأمم المتحدة في 10 و 11 تموز/يوليه 2014 للنظر في التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الالتزامات المعلنة في الإعلان السياسي الصادر عن الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة المعني بالوقاية من الأمراض غير المعدية ومكافحتها الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة في قرارها 66/2 المؤرخ 19 أيلول/سبتمبر 2011،

" Recalling further its resolution 66/144 of 19 December 2011, in which it welcomed the adoption of the political declaration of the high-level meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, whose aim was to mobilize political will at the national, regional and international levels,

In that regard, we welcomed the convening of the high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly on 22 September 2008, on the theme of Africa's development needs. We support the political declaration adopted at the meeting (resolution 63/1).
ونرحب بعقد الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى الذي نظمته الجمعية العامة في 22 أيلول/سبتمبر 2008، على هامش أعمال هذه الدورة المتعلق باحتياجات التنمية في أفريقيا، وندعم الإعلان السياسي الصادر عنه (القرار 63/1).

Despite the efforts certainly put forth at the international, regional and national levels in order to attain the goals set in the political declaration adopted by the General Assembly at its Twentieth Special Session, the problem persisted and was further complicated by the definite link between illegal drugs trafficking and other criminal activities.
وعلى الرغم من الجهود الأكيدة، التي اضطلع بها على الصعد الدولية والإقليمية والوطنية من أجل بلوغ الأهداف الواردة في الإعلان السياسي الصادر عن الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية العشرين، فإن المشكلة لا تزال قائمة، بل وقد أصبحت أكثر تعقدا من ذي قبل من جراء تلك الرابطة الواضحة بين الاتجار غير المشروع وسائر الأنشطة الإجرامية.
