3. To commission the Secretariat-General to submit a report to the next session of the Economic and Social Council on developments, the measures taken to combat the disease and the measures agreed by the joint meeting of the Arab Ministers of Health and Ministers of Agriculture.

The 79th ordinary session of the Economic and Social Council adopted resolution 1694 (15 February 2007), stipulating the following:
أصدر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في دورته العادية (79) قراره رقم (ق 1694 - د.ع 79 - 15/2/2007) التالي نصه:

21. A gender perspective was reflected in over a quarter of the resolutions of the 2011 substantive session of the Economic and Social Council (see table 3).

We should also like to propose that the report on Decade activities undertaken during the period 1995-1996, which is due to be submitted to the 1996 substantive session of the Economic and Social Council, be deferred to the 1997 substantive session for subsequent transmission by the Council to the General Assembly.
