5. Encourages UNDP to strengthen its partnership with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women) and to work closely with UN-Women to advance gender equality in programmes and policy on the basis of complementary and synergetic relationships, and to work collaboratively as part of United Nations country teams;

449. The Committee notes the steps adopted by the State party to review policies and programmes in the public service, which has led to the re-targeting of some programmes and policies on the basis of need rather than ethnicity.
449- وتلاحظ اللجنة الخطوات التي اتخذتها الدولة الطرف لإعادة النظر في السياسات والبرامج في الخدمة العامة، والتي أدت إلى إعادة تحديد أهداف بعض البرامج والسياسات على أساس الحاجة لا العرق.

CERD, noting the re-targeting of some programmes and policies on the basis of need rather than ethnicity, recommended ensuring that concerned communities participate in the assessment and review of special measures adopted for the advancement of groups, and that the public be informed about the nature and relevance of special measures.
ومع الإشارة إلى ضرورة إعادة توجيه بعض البرامج والسياسات على أساس الحاجة بدلاً عن الانتماء الإثني، أوصت لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري بضمان مشاركة المجتمعات المحلية المعنية في تقييم واستعراض التدابير الخاصة التي تُعتمد للنهوض بالجماعات، وإطلاع عامة الجمهور على طبيعة وأهمية التدابير الخاصة(51).
