In 1996, the Committee received reports of a violation concerning an unauthorized flight from Tripoli to Jeddah for the transport of Libyan pilgrims during the 1996 Haj season.
وفي عام ١٩٩٦، تلقت اللجنة تقارير تفيد بوقوع انتهاك يتعلق برحلة جوية غير مأذون بها من طرابلس إلى جدة لنقل الحجاج الليبيين خلال موسم الحج لعام ١٩٩٦.

وبمذكرة شفوية مؤرخة ١ آذار /مارس ١٩٩٦، طلبت مصر موافقة اللجنة على ٤٥ رحلة جوية لشركة مصر للطيران من القاهرة إلى طرابلس وبنغازي ومنها إلى جدة، وعلى عدد مماثل من رحلات العودة، بغرض نقل الحجاج الليبيين ﻷداء فريضة الحج.

8. On 8 March 1996, the Committee approved a request dated 1 March 1996 from Egypt for 45 flights on Egypt Air from Cairo to Tripoli and Benghazi and on to Jeddah, and an equal number of return flights, for the purpose of transporting Libyan pilgrims to perform the Hajj.
٨ - ووافقت اللجنة في ٨ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦، على طلب مؤرخ ١ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦ وارد من مصر يتصل ﺑ ٤٥ رحلة جوية لطائرات شركة مصر للطيران ذهابا من القاهرة إلى طرابلس وبنغازي ثم إلى جدة، وعلى عدد مساو من الرحلات إيابا، لغرض نقل الحجاج الليبيين ﻷداء فريضة الحج.

٦ - وفي ١٩ آذار/مارس، وافقت اللجنة على طلب مؤرخ ٥ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٧ تقدمت به مصــر للقيــام ﺑ ٤٥ رحلة لشركة مصر للطيران من القاهرة إلى طرابلس وبنغازي في اتجاه جدة، وعدد مماثل من رحلات العودة، بهدف نقل الحجاج الليبيين ﻷداء مناسك الحج.

On 19 March 1998, the Committee issued a press release (SC/6488) in which, inter alia, it reiterated its willingness to facilitate travel of Libyan pilgrims performing the Hajj and to continue to consider humanitarian exemptions from the sanctions regime.
وفي ١٩ آذار/ مارس ١٩٩٨، أصــدرت اللجنة نشرة صحفية )SC/6488( أبدت فيها، مجددا، ضمن جملة أمور، رغبتها في تيسير سفر الحجاج الليبيين ﻷداء شعائر الحج، والاستمرار في النظر في الاستثناء ﻷسباب إنسانية من نظام الجزاءات.

6. On 19 March 1998, the Sanctions Committee issued a press release (SC/6488), in which, among other issues, the Committee reiterated its willingness to facilitate travel of Libyan pilgrims to the Haj as well as to continue to consider humanitarian exemptions from the sanctions regime.
٦ - وفي ١٩ آذار/ مارس ١٩٩٨، أصدرت لجنة الجزاءات نشرة صحفية (SC/6488) أبدت فيها مجددا، ضمن جملة أمور، رغبتها في تيسير سفر الحجاج الليبيين ﻷداء شعائر الحج، والاستمرار في النظر في الاستثناءات ﻷسباب إنسانية من نظام الجزاءات.
