In addition, article 311 of the Syrian Code of Civil Procedures stipulates: " Pre-existing norms shall be applied without prejudice to treaties concluded or to be concluded between the Syrian Arab Republic and other States in this regard. "
بالإضافةِ إلى أنَّ قانون أصول المحاكمات المدنية في سورية قد نصَّ في المادة 311 منه على أنَّ " العمل في القواعد المتقدمة لا يخل بأحكام المعاهدات المعقودة والتي تعقد بين سورية وغيرها من الدول في هذا الشأن " .

The Commission reaffirms its willingness to assist States in that regard and encourages them to make an official request for such assistance, if needed.
