183. In 1997, the Commission reviewed the methodology for surveys of the best prevailing conditions of employment at headquarters and non-headquarters duty stations and reported its findings in its twenty-third annual report to the General Assembly.

At their twenty-third annual Ministerial Meeting, held on 24 September 1999, the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77 and China had noted with satisfaction the adoption of General Assembly resolution 53/242, which was of great importance to the reform of the United Nations in the areas of environment and human settlements.
68 - وأشـــــار إلى أن وزراء خارجيـــــة مجموعـة الـ 77 والصين، في اجتماعهم الوزاري السنوي الثالث والعشرين المعقود في 24 أيلول/سبتمبر 1999، أحاطوا علما مع الارتياح باتخاذ الجمعية العامة للقرار 53/242، الذي يتسم بأهمية كبيرة بالنسبة لإصلاح الأمم المتحدة في مجالي البيئة والمستوطنات البشرية.
