The Committee considers that the evacuation of the territories occupied by force and in violation of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and relevant resolutions of the United Nations is a condition sine qua non for the exercise by the Palestinian people of its inalienable rights in Palestine.

2. Considers that the Division for Palestinian Rights of the Secretariat continues to make a useful and constructive contribution by assisting the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in the implementation of its mandate;

3.38 The objective of the subprogramme is to provide substantive support and secretariat services for the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in its efforts to help enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights.

I should like here to mention the important seminar held by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in Cairo, in May, on assistance to the Palestinian people.
وأذكﱢر هنا بصفة خاصة بالندوة الهامة التي عقدتها لجنة ممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في القاهرة في شهر أيار/مايو الماضي حول مساعدة الشعب الفلسطيني.

b. Update, expansion and reprint of the booklet For the Rights of the Palestinians - The Work of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in 1996 (PPSD);

Recommendation 6 (question of Palestine): The Division should assist the Committee on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in developing a strategy for enhancing the content of international meetings and conferences
التوصية 6: (قضية فلسطين): ينبغي أن تساعد شعبة حقوق الفلسطينيين اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في وضع استراتيجية من أجل تحسين محتوى الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات الدولية

We also recognize the important role of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in raising international awareness and support for Palestinian rights and a just solution, especially in this International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
ونقر أيضا بالدور المهم الذي تضطلع به اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في التوعية بالحقوق الفلسطينية والحل العادل على الصعيد الدولي وتوفير الدعم اللازم في هذا الصدد، لا سيما في هذه السنة الدولية للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني.

(f) Provision of secretariat services to the General Assembly, the Security Council and their subsidiary organs, as well as assistance to and cooperation with the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in the implementation of its mandate;

On the contrary, we see an increase in the suffering of the Palestinian people, which is summarized by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in paragraph 77 of the report contained in document A/59/35, which states:
وعلى العكس من ذلك، نشهد زيادة معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني، وهو ما تلخصه اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في الفقرة 77 من تقريرها الوارد في الوثيقة (A/59/35)، حيث تقول:

Viet Nam's position is crystal clear on this issue and is lucidly contained in a message by the President of Viet Nam, His Excellency Mr. Tran Duc Luong, addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian people, 29 November. He said:
إن موقف فييت نام واضح للغاية في هذا الشأن وينعكس بوضوح في الرسالة التي وجّهها فخامة السيد تران دوك لونغ، رئيس فييت نام، إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة ورئيس اللجنـــة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في مناسبة اليوم الدولي للتضامن مع الشعـب الفلسطيني، الموافـــق 29 تشريــن الثاني/نوفمبر، وقال فيها:
