In that connection, support was expressed by some delegations for the proposals submitted by the Russian Federation on the basic conditions and standard criteria for the introduction of sanctions and other coercive measures and their implementation (see sect. III.B below) and the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya on the strengthening of certain principles concerning the application of sanctions (see sect. III.C below).
