For example, ECA and the Government of the Republic of Korea organized the Korea-Africa Investment Conference in December 2009 on promoting investment opportunities in infrastructure and the energy sector. The conference was attended by 120 companies from the Republic of Korea and several high-level representatives from the African public and private sectors.

In October 2012, during Korea-Africa Cooperation Week in Seoul, the third Korea-Africa Forum enhanced cooperation between African countries and the Republic of Korea through the Seoul Declaration of the Third Korea-Africa Forum 2012 and the Action Plan for the Third Korea-Africa Forum 2013-2015.
