In accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Tunisian courts have the jurisdiction over crimes of torture and ill-treatment committed on Tunisian soil, and on board vessels and aircraft registered in Tunisia. These courts have the same jurisdiction when the perpetrator or the victim of the acts is a Tunisian national.

4.10 According to the State party, the Tunisian courts have systematically and consistently acted to remedy deficiencies in the law, and stiff sentences have been handed down on those responsible for abuses and violations of the law.
4-10 وتقول الدولة الطرف إن المحاكم التونسية قد سعت بصفة منهجية ومستمرة إلى تدارك حالات مخالفة القانون وإنه قد وقعت عقوبات شديدة على المسؤولين عن إساءة استعمال القوانين وخرقها.

83. Article 307 bis provides that: " Any person who commits or aids another in the commission of an offence abroad may be prosecuted and brought to trial before the Tunisian courts if the injured party is a Tunisian national.
83- كما اقتضى الفصل 307 مكرّر أنّ " كلّ من ارتكب خارج التراب التونسي، سواء بوصفه فاعلاً أصلياً أو شريكاً جناية أو جنحة، يمكن تتبّعه ومحاكمته من قبل المحاكم التونسية إذا كان المتضرّر تونسي الجنسية.
