The duties of the CoExecutive Secretary would be newly delegated by the Director-General of FAO.

Following the Summit, the Director-General of FAO signed a memorandum of understanding with the High Commissioner for Human Rights on cooperation and follow-up, in particular:
وفي أعقاب مؤتمر القمة وقع المدير العام لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة على مذكرة تفاهم مع المفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان بشأن التعاون والمتابعة، وخاصة في المجالات التالية:

6. Invites the Director-General of FAO to submit to the General Assembly, at its sixty-fourth session, through the Economic and Social Council, a report on the outcome of the summit, including actions to be taken to follow up on the outcome of the summit at all appropriate levels.

Paragraph 5 of section III of the omnibus decisions, on joint services, requests the Executive Director of UNEP, in consultation with the Director-General of FAO and the joint head of the Basel Convention Secretariat, the Stockholm Convention Secretariat and the UNEP part of the Rotterdam Convention Secretariat:

the Director-General of FAO and the President of the council met on 4 October 2010 and again on World Water Day in 2012 in Rome.

7. Following the General Assembly resolution declaring the International Year of Mountains, and in accordance with Economic and Social Council guidelines for the observance of international years, the Director-General of FAO encouraged countries to establish multi-stakeholder national committees to plan and implement national observance of the Year.

In response to the requests referred to in paragraphs 2 (d) and 3 above, the Executive Director of UNEP has initiated consultations with the Director-General of FAO and the new Executive Secretary.
8 - استجابة للطلبات المشار إليها في الفقرتين 2 (د) و 3 أعلاه، بدأ المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج البيئة مشاورات مع المدير العام لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة والأمين التنفيذي الجديد.

III. Joint services Welcomes the progress made by the Executive Director of UNEP, in consultation with the Director-General of FAO and through the executive secretaries of the three conventions, in the establishment, implementation and consolidation of the joint services of the three conventions;

the Director-General of FAO defended his organization's implementation of the salary scale established by the Commission on the grounds that, although FAO disagreed with the Commission's decision on all matters under challenge, it considered that the Commission had acted legally within the scope of its authority and that FAO, as a participant in the common system, was required to comply with those decisions.

On the long-term undertaking to achieve food security, the Director-General of FAO presented the report and conclusions of the Task Force to ACC at its second regular session in 2000 (see ACC/2000/20, paras. 46-49) and subsequently to the Economic and Social Council.
