At the same time, in many developing countries and countries with economies in transition there exists an informal sector for the collection, repair, refurbishment and reuse of used and endoflife computing equipment and the recovery of materials such as copper and gold from e-waste.

A set of activities has been identified that would assist countries, in particular developing countries and countries with economies in transition, to manage used and end-of-life computing equipment in an environmentally sound manner:

Also requests the Secretariat to continue monitoring e-waste activities and to expand global activities on used and end-of-life computing equipment to include all ewastes;
6 - يطلب إلى الأمانة أن تواصل رصد أنشطة النفايات الإلكترونية وأن توسع نطاق الأنشطة العالمية في مجال المعدات الحاسوبية المستعملة والهالكة لتشمل جميع النفايات الإلكترونية؛

4. Adjust the guidance document on transboundary movement of used and end-of-life computing equipment, in the light of the technical guidelines on transboundary movements of used electronic and electrical equipment and e-waste, in particular regarding the distinction between waste and non-waste, to avoid duplications and discrepancies.
4 - تعديل الوثيقة التوجيهية بشأن نقل المعدات الحاسوبية المستعملة والهالكة عبر الحدود، وذلك في ضوء المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية بشأن نقل المعدات الإلكترونية والكهربائية المستخدمة والنفايات الإلكترونية عبر الحدود، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بالتمييز بين النفايات وغير النفايات، بغية تجنب الازدواجية والتضارب.

11. Identify actions and incentives that can be taken to promote environmentally sound reuse, refurbishment, repair, recycling and material recovery of used and end-of life computing equipment through the implementation of the Partnership guidelines and existing certification schemes.
11 - تحديد إجراءات وحوافز يمكن اتخاذها للتشجيع على إعادة استخدام المعدات الحاسوبية المستعملة والهالكة وتجديدها وإصلاحها وإعادة تدويرها واسترداد المواد منها بطريقة سليمة بيئياً، من خلال تنفيذ المبادئ التوجيهية للشراكة ومخططات الاعتماد القائمة.
