There is considerable scope for further work to build on the results achieved so far by the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Role of Enterprises in Development in order to identify policy elements for national action and international cooperation.

The UNCTAD Ad Hoc Working Group on the Role of Enterprises in Development highlighted a number of " best practices " gleaned from country studies and exchanges.

1. The Trade and Development Board, by its conclusions and decisions 415 (XL), established the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Role of Enterprises in Development.
