(i) The Division for Sustainable Development should ensure that the reports prepared for the Commission on Sustainable Development or other related intergovernmental processes integrate different regional perspectives through a process of consultations with the regional offices of United Nations organizations, the regional commissions and relevant regional and subregional organizations.
`1 ' ينبغي لشُعبة التنمية المستدامة أن تعمل على أن تُدمج التقارير المُعدَّة للجنة التنمية المستدامة، أو غيرها من العمليات الحكومية الدولية ذات الصلة، مختلف المناظير الإقليمية عن طريق عملية من المشاورات مع المكاتب الإقليمية لمنظمات الأمم المتحدة، واللجان الإقليمية والمنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية ذات الصلة.

J. Energy resources 56. The Department of Economic and Social Affairs continued the implementation of numerous projects in the field of new and renewable energy in many small island developing States, and in cooperation with AOSIS organized a workshop in Cyprus in January 2001 to discuss issues relating to energy, sustainable development and small island developing States, and to share regional perspectives and project ideas.

Under the modified procedures, the development of country programmes continues to benefit from decentralized support from the regional offices and regional management teams of UNICEF and other United Nations agencies, including the incorporation of regional perspectives, as appropriate, on issues related to children's and women's rights in proposed country programme strategies.
