Background: The COP, by its decision 4/CP.11, extended the mandate of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), under the terms of reference in decision 29/CP.7, and requested the LEG to develop a work programme which includes the implementation of national adaptation programmes of action for consideration by the SBI at its twenty-fourth session.
